SILVER SUNDAY 2-7-2010

Silver Sundays have almost beome as much fun for me as Pink Saturdays!
Just imagine, two days a week to lust over everyone's silverness and pinkness!!

I always enjoy showing our antique silvered mirrors reflecting pinkness, so this kills two birds with one stone!

The above scalloped beveled reverse etched floral mirror features convex flower centers and reflects my silver mint julep cup and crystal angel so sweetly.

This is a uniquely shaped ART DECO mirror with a beautiful ornate top.
I love featuring it with my vintage black vase, vintage flapper girl painted reverse glass picture, and my little black velvet dressform.

Silver and black are just really doing it for me these days!

A sweet friend Rhea of Sweet N Shabby Roses knows how susceptible to bling that I am, so she wrapped a package for me once like this......to tell you the truth, I didn't even care what was INSIDE, I was just so in love with the vintage rhinestone brooch! Now it has a prominent place on my coffee table as a decorative banding around one of my candles.

Found these adorable little silverplated French Chef Piggies Salt and Pepper Shakers at an antique store last summer. The tiny shoe was a gift from my dear mother and is quite old.
I do love silver footed trays....
My talented sister-in-law gifted us with this snowflake candle snuffer for Christmas, even engraving the date on the side.

My friend Vickie of Visuals by Vickie gifted me with this pretty little French inspired bookmark and I added it to a little silver cherub placecard holder that I've had for ages.
Hubby surprised me recently with this GORGEOUS and EXTRA LARGE oval serving tray!
Yep, I think I'll keep him!! :0)

Next a few pictures of some of the silver ANGEL jewelry that I design.....
Autumn's Angel
~ designed with a spoon handle, bow, and Swarovski Crystal face and halo ~

Luggage Tag Angel
~ designed with a filigree bow and wings, luggage tag skirt with roses

Bree's Angel
~ designed with silverplated and goldplated elements, filigree wings, Swarovski crystal face and halo ~

Small Sterling Silver Spoon Angel Pendant

Now you know why my blog is called Angelic Accents. I chose this name many years ago when I first started designing jewelry as much of it has angel themes. Since then I have branched out, but the angels will always be my first love!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today. Please stop by and visit our wonderful hostess Beth of Gypsy Fish Journal to see her Silver Sunday post and the list of all the other participants. I can promise you that you won't be disappointed!! And starting next week this will become a monthly event held the 2nd Sunday of each month!

I'll be there ~ will you?!?!

Hugs,
Stephanie

PINK SATURDAY 2-6-2010

ANGELIC ACCENTS JEWELRY

Valentine's Day is almost HERE!

I received a sweet package and  note shortly before the holidays and never got a chance to share the beautiful gift I got from doing an ART SWAP.  Sweet and Talented Alison of Alison By the Bay gifted me with this........

I've been decorating with it ever since! This is just PERFECT for Valentine's Day AND year-round!!
She even put my store logo / blog name on it!! Thanks so very much ALISON, I'll treasure it always!

You girls should check out her store Allison By the Bay here for these beautiful hearts and more terrific items!

My new vintage lamp is a recent estate sale find.......

These pink roses just make my heart sing!!!!

Recently I was stalking visiting my friend Gollum's blog, Designs by Gollum, and she was talking about how pretty pink is when mixed with other colors. I was telling her about my pink/green toile kitchen chair makeover last year and decided to post a picture to show her ~ so Michael, this is for you ~ just ignore the Halloween tablescape! :0)

BTW, she has a wonderful new feature on her blog, a newsletter that you can sign up for, so hop on over there to see what you've been missing and sign up so you won't ever miss anything else! She brings decorating, designing, and creating BEAUTIFUL food to an entire new level that even I might possibly manage on a smaller scale.

I just got a new computer and have been playing around with some of the photo features and special effects. I placed PINK corners on my ETERNALLY YOURS Angel that I designed for Valentine's Day. She features heart shaped angel wings, double entwined hearts that dangle from her bow and a lacey filigree petticoat peeking beneath her softly pleated skirt!

Please visit our lovely hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for more pretty PINKNESS today. She'll have a list of LOTS of other PINK PARTICIPANTS, too!

Please come by for a visit with me tomorrow when I'll be showing a bit more silver and some more of the jewelry I make on SILVER SUNDAY!

Big PINK SATURDAY Hugs,
Stephanie

SILVER SUNDAY 1/31/10

It is once again time for another sparkling SILVER SUNDAY with our sweet hostess Beth of Gypsy Fish Journal. Please be sure to stop by her blog here to say hello and see what pretty silvers she and all the other party participants are sharing today after you view my pieces.

I posted this closeup picture of my three little salt spoons just for Ceekay of Thinkin' of Home. Ceekay, have you ever seen such an adorable CHERUB salt spoon? Just perfect for me! She has lots of very pretty ones here, too!

Some of my favorite pieces of silver all grouped together

Silver candlesticks that I picked up at an estate sale.
Spoonful of Sugar Felt Birdies on Silver Spoon by my sweet friend Laurie of Charming Designs.

The silver service coffee set and tray was originally my mother-in-law's.

Silver Service Tea Set
I adore the squatty teapot and the pretty handled tray on this one!

Miniature Silver Service Set

Silver Candlesticks on a beautiful diamond beveled edge antique mirror
with sweet pink cherub compote on my dining room table

One of my all time favorite antique frameless mirrors
reflecting one of my vintage pin money purses and a silver mint julep cup.

My favorite silver water pitcher
The roses on the base make my heart skip a beat!

My mirrored top silverplated cake pedestal

Faux cake was designed by my talented daughter.

Silverplated Hurricane Globe base that I bought at an estate sale for $3.00!

** I sealed the base with a light coat of Deft Clear GLOSS spray paint after polishing it ~ Lots of you had asked what sealer I use ~ Use Deft and you will NEVER have to polish again. Just be aware that this is only for pieces that you do not intend to eat or drink from! **

I fill the globe with vintage ornaments whenever I find some that tickle my fancy!

Isn't this a fun Sunday event?!?! I have really enjoyed getting to know so many new friends that share my love of silver. Now I'm off to visit.....

Stephanie
