Another PINK Saturday

Another PINK Saturday

Just a few quick pics of some of my favorite PINK things in our home. My sweet friend Vickie of Visuals by Vickie & I both collect hands, so this picture is for her. My dear friend, the ever-so-talented Celeste of La Rea Rose gifted me with the adorable lavender filled sachet!

Another precious friend & PRH sister of mine, Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage gifted me with this beautiful roses tag. She is just the best tag maker, cross-stitch expert, decorator, etc.....her front porch for 4th of July is just awesome!!!

Some fuschia grapes I bought to use at my daughter's wedding. They now reside atop one of my scales of justice in the dining room as an unexpected sparkly pop of color against the red walls.

A neat older cookbook I found & got for its pretty pink cover!

Now, I'm off to visit my other PINK friends. Special thanks to Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for always hosting this fun event ~ click HERE for more pinkness!

PINK SATURDAY

One of our dear sweet bloggin' girlfriends, Beverly of How Sweet The Sound, is hosting PINK SATURDAY each week. All that means is that she posts something, ANYTHING, pink every Saturday for all the other pink lovers out there. She has asked any of us who would like to join her to go to her blog to link up with her on Saturdays. If you are interested in doing "Pink Posts" on Saturdays, just let Beverly know by Friday before, and we can all play together. She will post the links on her Saturday post here.

Below are some of my Pink Depression glass sherberts that I'm selling on eBay here.
Gotta love my pink cap
A pink formal ~ think it is better suited for my tiny daughter. I'd feel like "I Dream of Jeannie" in it!!
A little English roses vase
My very favorite Limoges plate ~ purchased at an estate sale for $5.00!!
A PINK Lampe Berger that I also sell on eBay here.
Now I'm off to see everyone else's PINKNESS today!! Thanks Beverly, for always hosting this fun day for us!!

More Wedding Memorabilia & a Saucy THANKS!

As a special thanks to Saucy for hosting our virtual wedding party today, I clicked a few extra pictures of some of my cake toppers, bride dolls, & other vintage wedding memorabilia.
The topper with the pink ribbons on it was purchased at a garage sale from a gal who was waaaay too happy to be rid of it. Got it for $2.00!

The heart shaped topper is my most recent find. Isn't it pretty? Our wedding topper is on the back right ~ wow, it's starting to YELLOW!!!
My dear sweet friend & PRH Sister Vickie of Visuals by Vickie surprised me with this darling diorama egg last year. I've never seen one before that has a wedding scene in it. It is my very favorite ~ just click to see all the pearls & trim & work that went into this precious piece!
Bought this cute mannequin couple at Hobby Lobby & used it at my daughter's bridesmaid luncheon.
I've shown some of my Gone With the Wind wedding memorabilia before ~ Scarlett was married three times!!
The garter was a recent antique shop purchase. It isn't very old, but I loved it, so it came home with me.
This wedding bell cake topper came home with me the same day. I don't really collect these, but it was just so pretty & creamy ivory aged to perfection!

This was my bride doll when I was a little girl. She has the same body form & face as my Candy Fashion doll. Only difference is this one isn't a blonde, but a brunette, just like me. Oh, how I LOVED playing with her! It's a small wonder that I didn't become a wedding planner!! She winds up & can actually walk down the aisle, but her bouquet has long since disappeared & her "tossing arm" has broken. Never mind the stains on her gown!
My sweet PRH Sister Bertie of Aunt May's Cottage gifted me with this pretty bridal fan. If you are lucky she just might have one still left in her store here.....check out all her beautiful adornments while you are there!! The cabinet pic of the wedding couple are some of my "instant" ancestors.
Dear sweet & energetic & talented Karla of Karla's Cottage surprised me with this tiny little June bride right before my daughter's wedding back in November.
Karla also made this one of a kind wedding gown paper doll dress for me. This is just stunning ~ I love the millinery flowers, teensy bit of bling, & pearls on it!

Recently bought this wedding card, more "instant" ancestors, & an old wedding napkin dated 1944!
Does anyone know why the vintage wedding photographs always show such somber couples? I mean, they are ALWAYS somber!!!!
I had this little sugared wedding couple made in the likeness of my daughter & new son-in-law for their wedding.
Last pic is of two of our very special friends who just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April. Now, THEY look happy!!
Big Wedding Hugs,
