PINK SATURDAY 9/05/09

Does it get any better than antique mirrors, vintage china, pink damask, and silver?

I don't think so!

Please join our lovely and sweet hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound to see more PINK SATURDAY participants!!

Another of my favorite vintage china plates

Our pressed back oak chair that I shabbied up after hubby had REALLY shabbied it up ~ he sat in it and it busted into p-i-e-c-e-s just like Goldilocks sitting in the baby bear's chair when it broke! Now it is good as new again and looks nice with some of my pillows with silk embroidered roses on them.
Big PINK SATURDAY Hugs,

PINK SATURDAY 8/29/09 and the WINNER IS. . . . .

The first order of business for today is the awarding of my little new pink Capezio ballet slippers. I used the random number generator at www.mathgoodies.com but for the life of me I cannot get it to post here, so I will tell you that I entered the numbers from 1 to 43 and the lucky number was.......30. The 30th comment belongs to none other than the beautiful and talented ........

Miss ELE of A BIT OF PINK HEAVEN!!!!

Ele, congratulations and I hope you do some of your usual extraordinary decorating with these little slippers! They will mail out Monday!!

Now it is once again time for another fun PINK SATURDAY with our sweet hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound, so please stop by and visit her and then check out all the PINK participants this week.

Believe it or not, I forgot to show this little rooster yesterday at the ROOSTER PARTY below, so since he is strutting next to my PINK cannisters, I thought it appropriate to show him today.

I got home sooo very late Friday evening, I didn't have time to make more PINK pictures (I was out of town whiling away the hours with my precious grandson & granddaughter!) so I'm sharing some of my favorite pinks from last year below.

Madammoiselle Alex ~ this is her first Pink Saturday ~ she lives in Paris & let's just say someone models for her in much pinkness & may give Cindy Crawford a run for her money!

Rebecca at Belle Maison ~ this is a girl after my own heart. We have the same taste in many things, she has beautiful photography on her blog, and she really loves PINK, too ~ hey, Rebecca, come join us next PINK SATURDAY!!!!

I'll be spending the better part of tonight & tomorrow visiting my pink girlfriends & my rooster girlfriends, too! Shoot, who am I kidding? I'll be visiting them all til at least the middle of next week!!! Better go get started!

Big PINK SATURDAY Hugs,

Show Us Your Roosters Party

The Rooster Party is HERE all you chicks and roosters!! Our lovely hostess for this barnyard event is Barb of Bella Vista so stop by her blog here to see all the other participants!

I can't remember the last time I was so excited about a party.......So......

let's all

SHAKE OUR TAIL FEATHERS

and get this party started!

I'm going to show you the ever growing FOWL of our home, but first, two adorable chandeliers I would one day like to have.

This one is REALLY doing it for me! I think it would look terrific with my pink/green toile kitchen chairs that I re-did!! Click here to see them.

I think this lamp would be great for Barb's home

Now, for my home tour.......

My old German pine cupboard is absolutely full of Rooster/Hen plates, graduated pitchers, and measuring bowls. Atop sits a cannister set and a small wooden rooster pull toy.

I told you I even have mirrors in the kitchen! Hubby, Daddy and I made the silverplated teapot lamp.

Hasn't everyone had one of these salt-dough creations sometime or another?

I forgot I had this Chicken Ranch Saloon Birdhouse. Found it in a box in the utility room. Talk to me just right and I will sell it to you as it is brand new & I just placed it outside to be pictured. It will be listed Friday on my selling blog here.

What a conversation starter!!

I am also selling this pair of rooster/hen prints on my selling blog, too.

I just can't wait to see all the other roosters out in blogland today!

Happy Rooster Hugs & Pecks!
