PINK SATURDAY 12/19/09

Today for my PINK SATURDAY Christmas post, I'm sharing my most precious holiday tradition......the placing of my pink bottle brush tree in our bedroom just as I have done since I was 5 yrs. old.

This is the very first tradition I can really remember and it always signals the start of the Christmas season to me.

This year it will also be joined by a favorite PINK Belsnickle covered in mica flakes, a sugared pink reindeer under a cloche, some newer white bottle brush trees, a favorite ornie from sweet Jen of Jennifer's Petal Palace, and a white sugar glittered reindeer.

I purchased a very similar vintage PINK bottle brush tree several years ago for my granddaughter so that she will be able to continue this tradition herself, and then someday when she has a little one, she can pass hers on to them and I'll let her have mine. Think I'll grow tired of PINK by then?!?!

Sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is our ever-bubbly hostess of all things PINK each Saturday, so take a break from all the baking and wrapping of presents and go visit her here to see all the other wonderfu pinkness out there today!

Big PINK SATURDAY Christmas Hugs,

You'll never ever tire of that little tree - how wonderful you have had it so long! And I'm sure you'll never tire of pink either.

Good Morning Stephanie!
I love your bottle brush tree tradition.
How exciting it must be to get it out every year and feel the memories come flooding back.
I like how you have added to it with the other trees, the deer under the cloche and all the other trees. What a wonderful idea to have the tradition carried on.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful Pink Saturday!

What a darling little tree. Isn't it funny how little things bring back floods of memories. I love it as we open up all our ornaments and our kids comment on the multitudes of FAVORITES and talk about why they love this one or that one-I love that part of it as much as putting them on the trees.

I have had so many Google problems-and it isn't over-Google has no idea how to solve the problem.
Sorry I haven't been by much-I decided after weeks and weeks of non-stop Google issues, I am throwing my hands up and making much needed visits.
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and hope you can come by for a visit.
Cheri

Good Morning Stephanie...
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie.
I love this post. What a wonderful tradition with the pink bottle brush tree, and I love the fact that you bought one for your grand daughter to start the same tradition as you did. It is so wonderful. What a special thing to be able to share together.

You have just the softest pinks always Stephanie, and I would definitely know you favorite color is pink. It is always so gracefully dispersed amongst things in your lovely home.

Thank you for sharing today. I so love it when you do. Please pop over and let me share my pink post with you.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Loved reading about your childhood traditon with the pink bottle brush trees, and what a sweet idea to start your grandchild off with her own. It will make your little group so special to her when the time comes for your trees to join her. Thanks for sharing this little peek into your Christmas traditions. Our stockings are a big part of our Christmas traditions. Hope you have time to stop by for a visit. ~ Happy Pink Holidays! ~ Sarah

Your pink bottle brush tree is gorgeous. Bottle brush trees are something that is difficult to find here in Australia - such a shame as they are so pretty.
