Another Dressform

Another Dressform
Remember back a few posts ago I admitted my addiction for dressforms? You can read all about them here & here. Well, somehow or another I forgot the above little beauty.
She is perched upon my favorite quilt rack in my granddaughter's bedroom along with another growing fancy of mine, a rose topiary.
This is actually a pillow sham that I hung longways ~ it accents the bedding for this room nicely. I should say the bedding this room USED to have, as my tween-age granddaughter has totally re-vamped the room from dusty pinks & blues to the neon pinks, yellows, lavenders, & whites that she loves so much! She has now moved . . . can you tell I'm missing her today?!?!
I have decided to leave the room just as she always kept it, even down to the glow-in-the-dark stars we used to add as incentives when she was younger to sleep thru the night all by herself! Her little pink & white Easter purse that she carried maybe three or four years ago sits atop her computer these days. Someday she will thank me for being such a pack rat & saving it for her, among a zillion other things!

Below is a little sneak preview, a tease, about what I will be offering tomorrow for Friday Flea Market. Please visit me again tomorrow as I've got some new/old goodies to offer!

My New Pretties!

My New Pretties!
Please look at some of my newest pretties! You must realize by now that I adore shabby & chic white furniture, all things pink, & roses, so imagine my delight when I ran across this pretty chest of drawers with ALL my favs on it!
Found this at a furniture store in Dallas, & hey, if ONE is good, then TWO are even better, right? Yep, I bought TWO of these, much to my DH's horror!! Plan on eventually doing something else with them, but for right now this one has been placed in our bedroom.

See the appliques, the crystal knobs, the antique ROSES drawer pulls, the intricate beading, the lattice-work background rose florals?!?!?! Now, really girls, how could I resist? And DH couldn't either, as he didn't have to do ONE thing to it!!

Just the perfect spot for some of my favorite goodies, too! Our soon vintage wedding cake topper, my favorite pink tray, & an adorable little pink & blue birds nest from my sweet PRH sister, Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage. It is just chock full of pink seam binding bows & ribbons, a pretty pink rhinestone bauble, a grungy Rose tag, snippets of sheet music, & two robin's egg blue sugared eggs nestled among sweet florals & feathers! Lucky would be the bird that got to roost here! If you love this as much as I do, run over to Shirl's etsy & eBay auctions for some wonderful treats!
My dear as a sis sweet friend Celeste of La Rea Rose handpainted this gorgeous blue tray. Don't you just adore the roses on it? She is one very talented lady, so check out her etsy & eBay shop, too! I think I have something of hers in almost every room of my house now!! I placed one of my favorite little cherubs, two porcelain roses, & a vintage pink kitty cat baby cup nearby. Celeste's tray matches my roses perfectly!!

I also really like how the old quilt that my DH surprised me with goes so wonderfully with all my newer pretties!
These new purchases have prompted a total re-do & thorough cleaning of our master bedroom, so I must get back to the dreaded chore of vacuuming now. Til next time, hope you have as much fun feathering your nest as I'm having with mine!!

Big Hugs,
Stephanie

Hop to it ~ I Want to see YOUR Easter Decorations!

Hop to it ~ I Want to see YOUR EASTER Decorations! I have a mania for decorating for all the holidays, especially Christmas, but Easter has to be right up there with Halloween for me! I hope to show you lots more pictures this week of some of my decorations & I would LOVE to see YOURS!!

My kitchen is one of my favorite places to decorate. I keep an antique mirror along my backsplash year-round ~ I just love the way it **SPARKLES** & adds light to an otherwise dark & dreary corner. It is great for showcasing my collections that I change out with the seasons. Right now I have pastel colored bottlebrush trees, a tiny bunny on a teacup, a cloche full of my favorite bunnies, & an artist's sketch of some eggs on my countertop.

The small piece that is framed inside the cloche is a vintage Easter postcard. The white bisque bunny & the tan/brown bunny are very old, but the teensy one & the cream standing bunny are newer.
One of my favorite "Tea for One" sets with lavender grapes & pink roses on it. Another little stuffed bunny with some faux carrotss.
I had given this little bunny & basket filled with real needlepoint ivy to my grandmother years ago. So now I put it out in her memory each spring.
This cloth bunny in the twig basket with pink tulips, daffodils, & baby's breath travels around my house quite often. He is on the kitchen table today. Tomorrow he may be in the den or on top of my granddaughter's armoire, or.....

I haven't been able to blog much this week, but I do know that Lori of Pink Faded Roses is showing much of her wonderful Easter decor' & I'm sure there are others, too. Drop me a line & let me know if you post pics of YOURS ~ I would love to visit & peek at your decor, too!

I will try to add more pics soon!

Hugs,

Stephanie

~ Pink & White Eye Candy ~

After my Red White & Blue posts, I decided it was time to get back to my basics ~ some of my favorite pink & white eye candy for you!

I love this miniature chocolate server. It reminds me of the old salesman samples of small furniture they used to carry around door-to-door trying to get you to place an order for a full-sized version! I have it filled with my pink hand vase, a pink pin money purse, & I loaded the top with an eyelet hanky, a ROSES demitasse cup & saucer, & a sherbert glass full of pink strawberry sachets with lots of lace & sequins & pearls on them!

I just love using antique mirrors in unusual ways ~ they are so perfect for use as plateau mirrors for tablescapes. I sell antique & Venetian Glass mirrors all the time on eBay (check out my auctions on eBay under the seller name AngelicAccents), & am lucky to be able to stash a few away for myself!! Below I have used a pretty shaped one with one of my cut glass cherub compotes filled with my pal & PRH sister, Jen's handpainted Roses Christmas ornaments. I leave these out year-round! Visit her at her blog jennifer's petal palace.

I love using the ROSES covered casserole in an unexpected place ~ not the dining room, but in our bedroom. If you lifted the lid, you'd find my stash of old prisms, just waiting to be added to my next chandelier!

The handpainted ROSES plate was a steal at an estate sale ~ only $5.00!! I just love its scalloped gold rim.And this next pic is for my friend & PRH sister, Amy at bunnyrosecottage, who shares my love of bunnies. I love cloches & this one keeps some of my favorite little bunnies dust-free!

Hope you are all having a wonderful summer. We have actually had sunshine today!! Yippee!!!
Hugs,

Stephanie
