Tablescape Tuesday 9/09/08

Tablescape Tuesday 9/09/08
My sweet new blogging friend Susan of Between Naps on the Porch is hosting Tablescape Tuesday for us, so hop on over to her blog to see more participants. Each week more participants are joining & it is so inspiring to see all the beautiful tablescapes!

Flow Blue is a new passion of mine. My favorite little footed Flow Blue compote ~ Sylvan by Cauldon.

The red of my dining room walls is the perfect backdrop for blue & white settings.

These older pieces of vintage china really make me wonder who loved & cared for them before. Who used these to set a beautiful & gracious table in the 1800's? What did they wear to their candlelight dinners? What type of conversations have these pieces overheard? I think I was born into the wrong era!!

PINK SATURDAY 9/06/08

PINK SATURDAY 9/06/08
Happy PINKNESS today!!
I always like to start out with one of my pretty mirrors ~ this one a Venetian Glass mirror in my bedroom, paired with my favorite pink lamp & roses. A yardlong print of pink & red roses in a frame my sweet daddy made for me is reflected in the background.

Some of my favorite tiny pink things ~ a small pink strawberry sachet, a pink Rosenthal leaded glass heart, & a teensy handpainted vintage key ~ pink roses, of course!

A beautiful medallion complete with roses AND BLING! made by my very own sweet friend & PRH Sister Ele of A Bit of Pink Heaven. She is oh so talented, has her own church studio, AND is gorgeous, both inside & out! Check out her goodies!!

A favorite little orphaned teacup full of some pretty pink glass knobs that I got from my dear friend Amy of Four Sisters in a Cottage. She is about to open her new ~physical~ shop any day now, so stop by & send her best wishes & check out her website for amazing goodies while you are there!

There are few things I love better than the color pink, anything roses, & anything vintage ~ this has it all ~ my Federal Sharon PINK Depression Glasss that I'm selling here on ebay!

Found this adorable pink Rockabilly Sundress on ebay ~ don't you just love it!?!

And lastly, I found this unique painting on ebay by sbdreamin. The artist's name is Ann West. I just love the pink path & those eerily pink palm trees!

Now I'm off to visit more pinkness after I check in with our hostess, sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. Her blog has all the other participants for today listed!

Happy PINK Hugs,

Tablescape Tuesday!

Tablescape Tuesday!

My sweet new blogging friend Susan of Between Naps on the Porch is hosting Tablescape Tuesday for us, so hop on over to her blog to see more participants. Last week had some yummy ideas & if you crave pretty china like I do, then this will be right up your alley!

I always have fun posting pics of some of my favorite antique mirrors ~ this one has deep diamond bevels that just catch the light & **SPARKLE**!

This is such a pretty set of china ~ Spode Pink Tower. I love using this, especially at Easter. It looks so pretty with a pink damask tablecloth, & the china is actually slightly lighter than my pics show it to be.

The stemware is Moonspun by Lenox. It has platinum bands & the most delicate etchings. Next time I use it I'll try to get a better closeup.

Our silver is by Community. I made the little napkin ring holders from bunny button covers!
I was a little late getting my post up today & want to hurry & visit the other participants as the wind is really picking up here & we are due some storms blowing in from Louisiana in a few hours. I'll have to shut my computer down as I don't want it to get "fried"!
Hugs,
