I'm sharing some of this week's surprises with you since they so nicely fit into the "Pink" Saturday category!!

I received the above beautifully wrapped gift in the mail from my dear PRH Sis Vickie of Visuals by Vickie & thought it odd since I had recently placed an order with her & already had received it. I was also especially excited since it came delightfully wrapped and was made by my sweet friend Celeste of La Rea Rose! Please ignore the ripped paper, as I started tearing before I remembered to grab the camera!! Shows how excited I was, huh?!?

This adorable int'l. coffee tin container was what was inside. Celeste adds her signature handpainted roses & birdies, & delicate lace trim to transform these into adorable little storage containers like this at her wonderful etsy shop here. And I had seen several sell that I wasn't quick enough to get in her etsy shop....now I need to figure out how Vic knew I was wanting one!!! This one is just perfect, as it reminds me of Vic & me ~ she's the cute blonde, I'm the brunette!

Just perfect for PINK SATURDAY!!!

Earlier I had ordered a sweet little sterling silver teapot necklace from sweet Vickie, & it arrived in the most glorious of packages!!!


Vic always pays great attention to detail in her packaging & presenting of items ~ I should know as we've been swap partners before & I can attest to the fact that the packaging is always given as much thought as the actual gift!!

Isn't it amazing how she presented the necklace attached to a vintage hankie on a soft bed of Easter grass in this beautiful box?!?!

Oh, I just about died when I saw it!

Sterling Silver Victorian dangle drop, sterling figaro chain, & the most precious little teapot made using a beautiful porcelain rose bead!!

She also included this pretty PINK roses chintz porcelain teabag holder that I will use next to my kitchen sink to hold my rings when I do dishes.

Vic also has some beautiful new postcards with her logo on them with the most awesome scene ~ again perfect for PINK Saturday. If you have a few minutes you really must stop by her website here & check her items out. She has a keen eye for the unique & unusual & has wonderful items, everything from angels, figurines, vintage china, jewelry, Victorian items, & some terrific new candles that I'm just dying to try!

We had a family dinner tonight & I wore my new teapot necklace & everyone just raved about it!! Thanks so much Vic & Celeste for making this be such a happy PINK week for me!

The "Other" Half!!

The "Other" Half!!

Last time I posted about all the wonderful treats from my friend & PRH Sister Shirl. Well, Shirl just happens to have a daughter named Jen of Jennifer's Petal Palace & she is every bit as sweet as Shirl is, & I was lucky to have Jen as my Christmas Swap partner!

I purchased some beautiful silver & pink handpainted Christmas ornies from Jen years ago before I ever met her, so this year she gifted me with some beautiful blue handpainted ornies that go great in my red/blue dining room!!

Jen knows that I collect spare body parts (hands to be exact), so she handpainted her special roses on this lovely hand vase for me. Look, Vic, I don't have to try to swipe yours now!!



Jen also creates the yummiest faux food that you'll ever see. I am so lucky to have some of her beautiful cupcakes!

She also gifted me with this adorable birthday cake!

Look at this gorgeous vintage inspired ornament!!! Love the millinery on it!

Jen knows how much I love cupcakes, so she gifted me with two of her precious cupcake ornies ~ one blue....

And the piece de resistance....my very own "JEN" special faux ice cream cone!!

Spotlighting "Shirl"!

I made lots of pictures during the holidays of my swaps & Christmas & birthday goodies, then "misplaced" them. Senior moments seem to be happening more often these days & it doesn't help when you are taking down Christmas, having company, having new grandbabies, & trying to keep working, too!! Too many things vying for my attention & I forget absolutely everything when I'm around my new little grandson!!

But here is the first in a boat-load of pics for you .....

My dear sweet friend & PRH Sister Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage gifted me with some glorious goodies for my bday & Christmas, & when the packaging is THIS GOOD you just know the inside is going to be yummy!!

My picture turned out too light ~ but Shirl makes the most beautiful SRE (silk ribbon embroidery) and I'm so lucky to have several of her special pieces! She sells on etsy here, so go check her out ~ you will be amazed!!

Shirl makes THE sweetest tags ever, just full of millinery flowers, beads, glitter, & TONS of soft pastel seam binding!!

And Shirl shares my affinity for adorable snowmen so she bought this special piece for me! I just love how it glistens!

She also knows how I love to stitch & embroider, so she is trying to get me hooked on yet another stitchery craft!!

She even gifted me with my very own "Tweet Baby" Grandma's Brag Book for new little grandson ~ and boy, has it been getting used!

Quite a haul, wouldn't you say? I love you, Shirl!!

Now many of you may know this, but Shirl is only one half of a very dynamic duo, so I'll post soon about the other half!!

My precious mother's birthday was this week, so thought I would share a family pic with you ~ the restaurant we ate at had a beautiful PINK parlor, just the perfect place for a BLOG pic!! I think Bertie & Lorena will like the furniture & decor' of this place!!

Mother's cake ~ PINK of course!! And roses because her middle name is ROSE!

I ordered a special something for my mother from my sweet PRH sister Rhea of Sweet N Shabby Roses & she included several extras in the package for lil ol me ~ just perfect for PINK SATURDAY!!

Our dear PRH sister Katie is a new grammy & we had a virtual shower for her & I won a prize in one of the shower games Rhea was hostess for ~ isn't this "Bless Our Nest" just too adorable?!? Rhea puts her heart & soul into everything she makes & she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! She now has a selling blog here & is our hostess for FIRST FRIDAY sales each month, so please check out her beautiful items!!

She always remembers birthdays, holidays, & everyone's likes & collections, so she also sent me this beautiful porcelain china hand with ROSES on it for my little "body parts" collection of hands!!

Of course it is my new favorite, and nope, Vic, you can't have it!! Vickie has an awesome collection of china hands, too!!

Rhea even included a cross-stitch magazine in my package! I spied some patterns for ROSES, a Santa, & some bunnies that will make wonderful bibs!! And look, on the front is more pretty PINKNESS for today! Thank you, Rhea, so very very much! I love you!

And my last piece of PINKNESS for the day, one of my favorite little pin money purses. To the right is a piece I cross-stitched years ago of a bunny, a summer hat, & a pink & green quilt.
