Show and Tell Friday ~ Clear Leaded Glass Window

I found this awesome antique window, all chippy, shabby, and charming on Monday, so I snapped a pic of it for hubby......

By Tuesday it was MINE!

Hubby worked the better part of the afternoon on Thursday to put it above our front door.....

Ladders and Heights are NOT two of his favorite things.

But he did this for me.....

And after two trips to Home Depot......

And some mega chunky, built to hold up to 800 lbs., mega links....

Hubby assured me this was NOT gonna fall down.

                      And she lived happily ever after.......

                                       or at least until
                                      the next decorating scheme hatches!!

PINK SATURDAY 5-08-2010 CASTLE & COTTAGE SIGNS

Today I'm showcasing one of my favorite new artists and a great new friend, Paula of Castle and Cottage Signs!  I found her blog several months ago and immediately became a follower. Paula told me that she is a self-taught artist who has been perfecting her craft for 20+ years. When her young son was one, she became a stay at home mom, her hobby soon became her vocation and a full-time business blossomed.

I can attest to the beauty and pride this talented artist takes in her artwork. Soft, gentle colors, beyond gorgeous script, and wonderful aged patina give her works a lush, cared for, well-loved charm. She offers signs for all types of decor' and welcomes custom orders, too. Perfect home accents and lovely gifts!

PINK SATURDAY 5-01-2010

I usually start off my PINK SATURDAY showing one of my antique mirrors reflecting some sort of pinkness. This beautiful mirror just sold and shipped out Friday, so it is going to a great new home! But I will definitely miss it!
