PINK SATURDAY 7/18/09

~ One of my antique mirrors reflecting pinkness ~

Our dear blogging friend, Beverly, always plays hostess to the funnest day of the week ~ PINK SATURDAY!! Please hop over to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound to see more gorgeous pink participants!

My offerings for today.......

My favorite Victorian barkcloth Roses lampshade & a pink roses mosaic birdcage that was a gift from my daughter. Nan, I think of you & your pretty mosaics often & posted this just for YOU ~ love you!!

The birdcage & floral arrangement in pinks and burgandies sit atop white columns that we used at my daughter's wedding. The floral arrangement is by one of my daughter's sweet talented friends, Angie.

I recently received the most wonderful surprise in the mail from one of my dearest ebay & blogging girlfriends, Connie of Living Beautifully. She loves to decorate, craft, sew, and now has added painting to her resume. We've "known" each other for more years than either of us would probably like to admit ~ she's my Ethel and I'm her Lucy. Together we would surely be

BIG TROUBLE!!

She painted this beautiful canvas in the most heavenly shades of blue, pink, & touches of lavender. I adore her roses & the sweet bird's nest and will treasure this special piece always!!

Love to you, my special friend!

You will also note the enchanting little pink sugared cupcake spoon made by another dear friend of mine, Celeste of La Rea Rose. I tease Celeste & tell her she could open up a studio in my own home, showing her products, as I have so many of them!! Check out her etsy shop here for more great items.....AND she is soon opening her very own website so stay tuned for more pretties to come!!

Now, I'm off to check out more PINK participants!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'll give you a few hints....

I'm the 1930's Queen of Screwball Comedy (Connie/Ethel, are ya listening?I'm tricking you this time) and I'm married to a very hunky and famous movie matinee idol. Shoot, I gifted my terrific hubby with the above car ~ there are LOTS of ways to keep a man happy!! ;0)

Well, it's lil' ol' ditzy zany me......Carole Lombard

and my hunky husband, Clark Gable!

Here we are pictured at the premiere of Gone With the Wind. I thought if my duds were swell enough for that event, that they would certainly be fitting for Deanna's birthday bash ~ and I hear she just loves GWTW, so what better outfit to wear today, too!

Sweet Deanna, my biggest birthday wish for you is that you & Mr. Timeless Things will always be as happy & devoted to each other as Clark and I are.

Please help yourself to some birthday petite fours!

Now lets get to some fun stuff ~ like opening presents!

My own personal Deco Sapphire Pin

And a wonderful Art Deco bar pin that Clark picked out that is adorned with approximately 2.50 carats of diamonds and set in platinum. $6.000

We also chose for you these gorgeous bits of bling....Approximately 3.00 carats of white diamonds are set in these beautiful Art Deco-style earrings, crafted of platinum. Price: $17,850

A funny set of dolls with likenesses of us to remember us & your special day by

And last but not least, a hunky man of your very own.....Cary!

Roly Poly Baldheaded Me

My favorite picture ~ I still remember this little outfit ~ a burgandy blouse & white bib front ~ I was about 3.

Lori, I posted this one just for you! :0)

I was around 5 years old in this one & my flair for bling & accessories was already showing ~ I never wanted to pose without jewelry or a purse!!

Now I'm off to press my dress, do my nails, & drag out all my jewels & wrap my gifts for the party tomorrow.......we are to come as our favorite movie star & I'm bringing one hunk of a date!! Til then......
