Rooster Lamp

Rooster Lamp

I have a collection of rooster items in my kitchen & one of my favorites is my French Country Rooster Lamp. I have another just like it listed on eBay here if you are also interested in one.

I'm thinking I need to do a post of my rooster items soon. Who else collects roosters?

I'm also wanting to re-do my kitchen in a French Country theme so if you know of any inspirational sites for this, please let me know.

My 2 year blogiversary is coming up tomorrow!!!! I am planning a giveaway soon, but haven't had time to gather my items & picture them yet & the next few days are going to be busy around here, but hopefully next week I will be able to get the giveaway posted, so......STAY TUNED!!

Easter Greetings & Antique Mirrors

I snapped a few quick pictures of a bit of my Easter decor to share with you today.

Bunnies & Ballerinas in my granddaughter's bedroom
My newest bunny that I was lucky enough to find at a shop that was closing ~ got it for a great price! It sits on my favorite bench in the kitchen atop a trip around the world quilt, next to a tin pitcher of roses that my hubby surprised me with!

A huge bunny tassel in my dining room

~ Two of my favorite antique mirrors that I'm selling on eBay here this week ~

An Antique Oak Beveled Glass Mirror with Jacobean Buttons & Beadwork

A Vintage Mahogany Tri-Fold Vanity Mirror

I will share a few more pictures of Easter decor with you later ~ and hopefully I will soon make time to blog-hop around & visit some of YOUR decor!

The Powder Room

The Powder Room

Thought I would share a few pictures of our powder room with you.

The handsome man in the gold oval frame is my paternal grandfather. Who says it is inappropriate to put family pics in the loo?

I have a small collection of beaded purses, not nearly as many as my dear friend Lorena!

I purchased these little button-top baby shoes at an antiques shop in Salado many years ago. The decopauged print was a garage sale find.

My maternal grandmother crocheted the doily & tabletopper that I draped across the towel bar. The heart holds an instant ancestor & a vintage Gibson Girl post card.

My sweet friend Celeste painted the precious little angel tealite holder.

One of my all-time favorite finds, a handpainted plate with a Victorian couple on it.

More angels ~ the oval angel soap is a gift from my sweet friend, Vickie.

My daughter gifted me with the sweet little shelf & teddy bear. I added a tattered heart.

A special tea cup print & Victorian boot print.

An angel crafted by my sister-in-law from a lacy Battenburg napkin.

Click to read the sentiments.

A cross-stitched guest towel on a lacy doily.

A bunny at the base of the sink.

Hugs,
