It's time for another FRIDAY FLEA MARKET!! I'm offering the above little pedestal compote here today on my selling blog Angelic Accents a la Carte.
I'm also offering the silk floral swag above here. Please click on my selling blog to see more goodies that I'm offering today and to find out more about FFM!

Isn't this PINK Ice Cream Cone just adorable?!?!

DH & I were visiting our daughter & her family last week & stopped at this cute little restaurant that is literally a drive-in....

complete with 4 sets of overhead glass garage doors! How cute!!

Its called DOUBLE DIP & they serve all kinds of ice cream, sandwiches, ice cream, hot dogs, and did I mention ice cream?

I loved the colored lights, the huge ice cream cone sculpture, the palm trees, the checkerboard floors, the fans, & the brightly colored signs on the walls.

We had their famous chicken salad on a croissant ~ yummy! And the best little "cake" cookie!! The owner came out & sat & visited with us, too.

I think I'll have their Mango Dango on our next visit!! Or maybe the Skinny Dip Sundae!!

Hey, we HAVE to go back ~ we PROMISED the owner!!

And now to another award....

My sweet friend & PRH Sister Connie of Living Beautifully gave me the I LOVE YOUR BLOG award! I'm truly humbled as I do honestly believe that Connie visits EVERY blog out there & comments on them all !! Don't ask me how she does this.....all I know is that she has 5 computers, no TV, & must be able to type on one computer with her hands & on another simultaneously with her newly reconstructed toes!!

Connie & I have been friends for more years than I can count, first met when I sold her some pretty decorator fabric ~ probably something with ROSES on it if I know my "sis"!! We are in a decorating group, & we also share my mother, as Connie now claims her as her own! And that is just fine with Mother AND with me! :0)

I'm supposed to pass this award on to others whose blogs I love to read. Well, first on my list would have to be Miss Connie's, for all the above mentioned reasons & the simple fact that she always makes me giggle!! I also adore Cindy of My Romantic Home because she has the best pictures & posts almost daily! There are tons more blogs that I love to read & drool over the pictures, so I'm just going to pass this award on to ALL of you! You all add so much to our blogging community, some with beautiful decorating, creative crafts, gorgeous gardening pictures, helpful hints, & down-right hysterical musings! I love you all!

Tablescape Tuesday!

Tablescape Tuesday!
I happened to hop over to Cindy of My Romantic Home's blog & she had some amazing tablescape scenes today. A wonderful blogger, Susan of Between Naps on the Porch has decided to start being our hostess for Tablescape Tuesdays! What a fun idea. I'm sharing some pics of my favorite Sigma Rooster plates below since I didn't know in time to make any new pics. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

There are lots of other pretty dishes just waiting to be ogled, so go visit them all!

Awhhhwards, New Banners, & A Give Away!

Next, I must thank my sweet fellow Texan, Celeste of La Rea Rose for the Blogging Friends Forever Award. **I was also given this award by my sweet PRH sister Vickie of Visuals by Vickie at the SAME TIME I was giving it to her!! So thanks, dear Vic, as well. You are my TX Twin for sure!!

The rules to pass on this award are to nominate 5 other people, four of which are dedicated followers of your blog and one that is new from another country. Post the Twinks Bank Icon and lastly link the giving blog friend who gave you this award.

So I nominate~~

Shirl of Shirl's Rose Cottage

Vickie of Visuals by Vickie

Lastly, the 5th nominee from another country is Shannon of Make Mine Pink. Thank you Celeste & Vickie for this blogging friends forever award. So sweet of you both to think of me and I am so glad to pass it on. Your constant friendship, loving heart, & beautiful blogs inspire me more than you will ever know. I treasure our special bonds!!

PINK SATURDAY & a Special Birthday!

PINK SATURDAY & a Special Birthday!
Saturday is my granddaughter's 12th birthday!! Happy Birthday, Sweetie!! She has always brought us such joy & happiness in all that she does! We love her dearly & will be helping her celebrate along with about 20+ of her "closest" friends today! LOL
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This is the biggest PINK ice cream cone I've ever seen, so of course I had to snap a pic of it. I'll post more about it & the cute place we ate next week.

A pink lamp I refurbished & sold last year. Not quite the soft pink shades that I love, but more of a Pepto Bismol pink! Next to it is one of my favorite plates ~ Scarlett by Garneau. I added one of my pink hand vases, too. I got the funniest comment from someone thinking it was odd that I collect body parts......well, there are at least TWO of us, right, Vic?!? We'll have to get together & do a post on all our hands soon!

Pinky (minus Blue Boy). When I bought her, my heart skipped a beat ~ I adore the frame!
A pretty little oil painting I bought at a garge sale for $3.00, a small pink doily from Artsy Mama, a favorite pink demitasse cup & saucer, & a pink angel that is listed for sale on my selling blog, Angelic Accents a la Carte.

Please make sure to visit Sweet Beverly's blog, How Sweet the Sound, to visit the other PINK Saturday participants!! Happy PINKNESS!!

I'm typing this post at 1am, so I'd better scoot off to bed so that I can keep up with all these "tweenagers" at the pool in a few hours!!

FFM, Wedding Cake Toppers, & My Dresser

FFM, Wedding Cake Toppers, & My Dresser

Today's post is a little longer than usual because I have lots of pics to share with you. First, I would like to remind you that today is Friday Flea Market, so please stop by my selling blog, Angelic Accents a la Carte, to see what I'm offering. There are lots of other blog participants doing FFM, so please check here to see their goodies today!!

I collect wedding memorabilia & can never pass up a good deal on a pretty wedding cake topper, so these are my latest finds.....
This one isn't very old, but I just love how sweet the couple are looking at each other & the bride's Victorian wedding gown.
I thought this one was quite unique as it had been placed into a glass egg. This is a wonderful vintage chalkware bride & groom.
And now, my favorite new/old one.....a bride & groom from the 1950's standing in a double circle of wedding bands with doves on top. This piece has aged & yellowed & one poor little dove has lost its wing, but I couldn't leave the store without it!
Last Saturday I posted some pics of my bedroom dresser on PINK SATURDAY, & got several responses on it asking for more pictures, so here are some closeups.

This piece was found at an antique store & had been stripped down to its natural pine finish. There were hints of old green & white paint in the cracks & crevices. DH labourously worked to strip it completely & added Minwax to it & it was beautiful in all its pine glory for about 10 yrs.

Later I decided it must be shabby chiced up!! After hearing, "You've got to be kidding" about 100 times from DH, I started the process (without his approval or help!). The white finish really brings out all the detailing, the carvings, the beading around the oval mirror & the curly cues & columns that frame the mirror......

the sides & legs......
This is a picture of a pretty little pillow I bought on eBay back a couple of years ago that features silk ribbon embroidery & beading. I always loved it, til I saw what my sweet PRH sisters Shirl & Katie can do!! Their silk ribbon embroidery is 2die4!! Katie has just opened up a selling blog called A Petal Apart, so please stop by & visit her! And Shirl definitely needs to sell hers, too, so stop by her blog Shirl's Rose Cottage to get a peek at what she creates!! We need to encourage her to sell hers to us, too!!

the glove boxes.....
and the beautiful original appliques on the doors!
I'm going to visit my fellow FFM sellers now! And don't forget that tomorrow is PINK Saturday!! See you then!

Hugs,
