Rehearsal Dinner
Today I'm sharing a few pics of the Rehearsal Dinner with you. It was held in a restored Victorian home that is just beautiful. It was already decked out for the holidays so pretty! We bought these cute little mint tins for all the guests ~ fell in love with the little heart shaped mints!
Followed the theme of the mint tins with the cake.....don't know why someone didn't take the cover off before the pic was made!

The groom to be surprised Bree with a new gorgeous watch
She was more than a little bit surprised!
He gave our little granddaughter a beautiful necklace

Checking to see if it is still there!

This is what a slightly nervous & funny groom to be does when he doesn't want to eat his asparagus!I will post more pics as I receive them.

Hugs,
Stephanie

More Giveaways and Wedding Pics

More Giveaways and Wedding Pics
The kids are in WA right now & Bree called to tell me that they both have the flu, but that as of tonight it is snowing there & absolutely beautiful! They are getting their white Christmas a little early!! Wish we had some of that pretty stuff here!
Still trying to catch up on all the posts I meant to do the week of the wedding. These items are from my sweet & beautiful PRH sister, Ele of A Bit of Pink Heaven. She makes these adorable accordian pleated wonders with charms, bling & love! Made me one & one for the wedding in the chosen colors of pink/chocolate, too!
Even the back sides are perfect. She dated the wedding one! She also included an adorable small notebook that is embellished perfectly! She is well-known for her yoyo designs & I love it that she added one to the front center of the flower! She even included a present for my granddaughter that made her feel so very special ~ her own "roll up" carry case of crayons! Ele sells these on her Hannah Banana Baby website & I think every kid would love one of these in their stocking this Christmas!

We used this small topiary tree at the wedding reception ~ think I'll use it here at the house this holiday season. My little shih tzu Rosie is all ready for the holidays, too!

My dear sweet friend Amy of Four Sisters in a Cottage had a giveaway a while back & I was one of the lucky winners! Just look at all the wonderful goodies she sent! Love the sheet music, Christmas scene tag, pink beads, & especially love those little Victorian girls! Can't wait to embellish some gifts with these great items!

Amy is having a huge sale at her website so please pop in to visit her there & see if there is something you need! But better hurry, as her items go FAST!!!!

Stephanie

Thanksgiving Giveaway and Friends

Thanksgiving Giveaway and Friends

I recently won a fantastic giveaway from my new friend Mary at Crash n Smash for Thanksgiving & am just now getting around to posting pics. The wedding took all my time the week these items came, but I just want Mary to know how much I loved & appreciated them ALL!
Sweet Mary included everything you could possibly think of for a wonderful & memorable Thanksgiving.......well, maybe she didn't include the Butterball Turkey, but hey, she included everything else! Luncheon & beverage napkins, the most adorable fall cookie cutters (I have a small but growing collection!), wonderful recipes in protective sleeves (Mary, how did you know I'm a messy cook!), cute litte mini-muffin cake liners & pretty little sugar pumpkin cake decorations!

Twenty handmade precious placecards & the neatest "memory album" for Thanksgiving 2007"! Her talented daughter, Brandy, made the book & has a blog, too, AND is celebrating her 25th birthday, so go to Mary's blog & get the link to Brandy & wish her a very happy birthday!
Every page is just so very special & I'm so thrilled to have won such a neat giveaway. Mary's & her daughter's stamping is just so professional & perfect! Ever since I made the kid's rehearsal dinner invitations, I've been thinking it might be fun to stamp.......Mary's great giveaway has convinced me I need to try this again!

My birthday is coming up soon.......yep, I'm a December baby, the 15th of December to be exact. So I was thinking it would be fun for ME to gift YOU with a giveaway on my birthday. I'll be gathering some appropriate holiday treats & surprises & will post some pics a little closer to time. But I just can't think of anything more fun than sharing with you, my sweet blog friends on my special day. I've never done a giveaway before, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Til next time, Big Hugs,

Stephanie

The Wedding ~ Pt. 2

The Wedding ~ Pt. 2
Bree designed the five tiered brides cake herself. Lots of pearls, henna inspired designs, their monogram, quilting, & lots & lots of fondant pearls!
And yes, they had a groom's cake, although it wasn't quite as noteworthy as Shelby's armadillo cake, Lori & Shann, in Steel Magnolias! It was very pretty, double chocolate, so double yummy!

Bree & her bridesmaids. Granddaughter is on far right back row.
Bree & her daddy putting the same lucky penny in her shoe for good luck that my daddy put in my shoe back in 1974!
My DH, Bree & Anthony, Me, & my Mother
Handsome little ringbearer & his proud daddy
Quick snapshot of the happy couple cutting their wedding cake.

Boy, do we still have some pretty flowers! I finally cut the stems off & am now just floating them in water. Karla would be proud of how much good I'm getting out of these babies!!

Special pic for Rhea & Ele, as I just know they will want proof that I did use some BLING in the wedding. A few of the roses & gerbera daisies did have a tad of crystal bling in their centers!! For those of you traveling this week, please be safe. And I do hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love & hold near & dear!
Hugs,
Stephanie

The Wedding

The Wedding

The Bridal Portrait

Bet you all thought I was NEVER coming back again! We've just been really busy ever since the wedding, with guests, picking up, cleaning up, starting back to work on eBay at the busiest time of year, etc......But here are some pics I've been promising you, LORI, & all you other sweet girlfriends of mine. I'll try to post a few each day..........
This barefooted pic is one of my favorites & also my daughter's new hubby's. He already has an 11"x 14" of this one hung in his office.
The wedding was absolutely perfect. Good times, good friends & family, perfect TX weather.....who could ask for anything more.
Bree's two special babies, her Maltipoo, Daisy, & hubby's JRT, Willie. I happen to be babysitting these two grandpuppies right now while their parents are away!
Sissy, my little JRT, didn't attend the wedding, but she is wearing her fall ensemble & wanted to be pictured, too.
I'll try to post a few more pics in a bit. Not quite sure how many I can add & them still be "Clickable" to a larger size.
Hugs,
Stephanie

2 Days to Go

2 Days To Go
My sweet friend & PRH Sister Rhea of SweetNShabbyRoses gifted us with this yesterday for the wedding!!

She also sent some adorable Christmas goodies for me that I will post soon! Suffice it to say that if you are needing some GORGEOUS unique gifts this holiday season, Rhea is the "go to" girl!!

She is truly one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, & talented pretty women I've ever met. She sent the kids a beautiful sheer organdy gift pouch decorated with a sweet tiny gold angel, just full of pretties!!

Two of her gorgeous wedding tags, a large chocolate wedding card with such a sweet verse on the back side, 3 adorable vintage tiny wedding cards (hey, these would be awesome in my wedding memorabilia collection, Bree!), & a very pretty mirrored picture frame with chocolate velvet ribbon. She even included a large bag of goodies for last minute fix-ups ~ ivory & white bows with beautiful tiny flowers & pearl sprays & pearl streamers, & several large bunches of dainty flowers. See what I mean about her being such a thoughtful person?

These are from my PRH sister Bertie.
Miss Bertie of Aunt May's Cottage is playing a big part in this wedding! I purchased many of her wonderful handmade medallions to use as pew bow centers, for the backs of chairs, & for holding up lace overlay swags on the cake tables & guest registry. If you are in need of spicing up your life with sumptious Victorian beauty, please check out her wonderful store!

Below are just some of her beautiful creations.I love all the gorgeous lace trim, the sequins, the pearls, the floral sprays! WoW!

This gorgeous tulle pew bow Bertie gifted us with is actually a deep chocolate, don't know why my camera made it look black. It is beautiful & I'm going to use it as the center of the swag over the French doors to the ballroom at the reception!

Here is yet another gift she sent Bree & Anthony!
Glittery handmade heart ornies for the feather tree, an entire dozen of them! & a darling Victorian bridal fan for Bree!

I would love to just bottle up both Rhea & Bertie & zap them here to help with all the decorating. Between Bertie's flair for Victorian & Rhea's great sense of style they would really be a dynamic duo! Colin Cowie, watch out!!

Tomorrow is the rehearsal! Wow, time is flying.

More tomorrow (I hope I hold out!)
Hugs,

Stephanie
