This past summer we went on the DALLAS Area Parade of Homes & I've been meaning to share some pictures on my blog. They featured an area that is based on the homes of the 1940's ~ such beautiful architecture! Native plants & trees, beautiful commons areas, a spectacular fountain area (that pic is MIA!), and updated interiors. You can tell I'm salivating in this pic....

When fully developed, the area will have shopping within walking distance, an amphitheater for impromptu concerts & plays, & all homes have extra large sidewalks & huge front porches for visiting & waving at the neighbors, all while sipping your mint juleps or in my case, a pink lemonade!

This is my absolute favorite home. Mother & I are standing in front of the house so you can see just how massive it is. I named it my TARA......just call me Scarlett! Fiddle Dee Dee, how I could swoon & have "the vapors" on that balcony!!

Nope, it's not ours, couldn't even throw enough of a fit for DH to even consider buying it for me, but maybe tomorrow.......yes, tomorrow IS another day!

I will try to locate some of the missing interior pictures soon.

Now, on to something totally unrelated....I've got quite a little collection of porcelain hinged boxes & this one is a favorite of mine. It came from England, is a handpainted enamel pill box, and has the sweetest little sketched house on the inside, too.

For some reason my pictures got out of order & I have found that if I try to rearrange them, they aren't clickable for enlarging.....sigh.....if anyone knows how to correct this problem, please let me know.

FIRST FRIDAY is coming THIS Friday, November 7th!! My dear friend Rhea of SweetNShabbyRoses is our hostess for this monthly event & there are so many bloggers that offer wonderful items ~ I do hope you will take a peek at all that they offer!

I have some exciting items for this week's FIRST FRIDAY'S Sale that will be on my selling blog, Angelic Accents a la Carte, so please stop back by on Friday to see what I have for you this week.

See you Friday!!
