My daughter & her sweet friend, Angie, a floral designer, made me this pretty arrangement of pink-tipped roses & added a little cherub to it for my birthday. I love it & I love them! The precious little gal in the oval frame is my dear mother when she was about 3 yrs. old. The small etched heart mirror was a gift to me from my sweet friend Amy of Bunny Rose Cottage.

And by the way, any smudges you see on my mirror are purely a figment of your imagination or a problem with your monitor..... ;0)


The Christmas that my now-DH & I got engaged we were supposed to go to some of the after-Christmas sales together to buy some things for our upcoming new home. Well, I got sick & couldn't go, so soon-to-be DH went alone & he bought me 3 of these little Putz houses, a green, a yellow, & a pink one! Boy, he did good, didn't he? Love how the "smoke" billows out of the chimney & how the roof glistens with snow. I treasure all three & use them each Christmas.



Okay, okay, I KNOW this is a PINK Saturday post, but I've just got to post a couple of pics of the new little man in my life!

Everyone always seems to enjoy my antique mirror pictures, so I'll start off with one of those reflecting some PINK silk flowers. This mirror has lovely reverse beveling & convex bull's eyes & a very pretty starburst motif ~ they just don't make gorgeous mirrors like this any more!

One of my favorite little baby cups ~ a ceramic PINK one with a sweet little kitten on it

I love pretty storage boxes & this one with the precious little girls & handpainted PINK roses on it is one of my favorites designed by my dear friend Celeste of La Rea Rose.

Even the sides of the box are adorned in tiny PINK rosebuds & PINK lace!



I love my new little Dee Foust / Bethany Lowe papier mache' creation ~ even though it is a Christmas Pageant piece, I think it's pink glittered edges & mask lend itself to Valentine's Day, too!

I painted a favorite wooden word sign "DREAM" in cameo pink, then glittered it & placed it in front of another of Celeste's pretty trays, this one the softest shade of aqua with PINK roses.


I have spent 3 days this week with my new little grandson, so I have a feeling that I'll soon be sharing lots more photos of him. He is absolutely a doll & the best little baby ever!

Baby Is HERE!!

Baby Is HERE!!

Baby Keaton made his arrival at 4:20pm today!! He is an absolutely gorgeous little boy, weighing in at 7 lbs. 10.2 oz., 20 3/4" long, beautiful dark hair & sinfully loooong eyelashes!!

Mother & Baby are doing well, & Mimi is just a little pooped tonight!! But oh, so very happy!!

I found this beautiful PINK pinwheel quilt (is that the correct pattern name?) in an old magazine & scanned a picture for you to see. I'd love to have one like this, wouldn't you?!?

I received a very special birthday gift from my sweet & talented friend, Katie of Rose Breeze Boutique that I just have to share with you on this PINK Saturday.....an adorable faux slice of cake with her lush tea roses (they REALLY are little tea bags fashioned as ROSES!)!!

Her attention to detail & the creation of these little boxes are just incredible.

You can actually remove the little tea roses that decorate the top of the cake slice & steep them in your favorite cup of hot water for a delicious cup of tea, regular or decaf!! And she also included some extra little decorative tea roses to replace those, so I'll always have a wonderful keepsake faux cake slice!!

Katie's pics are much prettier than mine ~ I was so excited that I was shaking as I opened my surprise!! Hard to take good pics when you are shaking & jumping up & down all at the same time.....so here are some of her great pics of these adorable faux cake slices....run to her site here if you need an extra special & very affordable & unique Valentine's Day or birthday gift or wedding table favors.......
