PINK SATURDAY 7/18/09

~ One of my antique mirrors reflecting pinkness ~

Our dear blogging friend, Beverly, always plays hostess to the funnest day of the week ~ PINK SATURDAY!! Please hop over to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound to see more gorgeous pink participants!

My offerings for today.......

My favorite Victorian barkcloth Roses lampshade & a pink roses mosaic birdcage that was a gift from my daughter. Nan, I think of you & your pretty mosaics often & posted this just for YOU ~ love you!!

The birdcage & floral arrangement in pinks and burgandies sit atop white columns that we used at my daughter's wedding. The floral arrangement is by one of my daughter's sweet talented friends, Angie.

I recently received the most wonderful surprise in the mail from one of my dearest ebay & blogging girlfriends, Connie of Living Beautifully. She loves to decorate, craft, sew, and now has added painting to her resume. We've "known" each other for more years than either of us would probably like to admit ~ she's my Ethel and I'm her Lucy. Together we would surely be

BIG TROUBLE!!

She painted this beautiful canvas in the most heavenly shades of blue, pink, & touches of lavender. I adore her roses & the sweet bird's nest and will treasure this special piece always!!

Love to you, my special friend!

You will also note the enchanting little pink sugared cupcake spoon made by another dear friend of mine, Celeste of La Rea Rose. I tease Celeste & tell her she could open up a studio in my own home, showing her products, as I have so many of them!! Check out her etsy shop here for more great items.....AND she is soon opening her very own website so stay tuned for more pretties to come!!

Now, I'm off to check out more PINK participants!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

PINK SATURDAY Hugs,

ooohhh a bouquet of pink flowers :-) I've been seeing birdcages displayed on homes as decors and they really look interesting and pretty. It's like a cloche, every home has a different "something" placed in it :-)

When your picture uploaded and I saw those cupcake spoons - my mind just goes to Celeste! Oh I was so fortunate to have won one of her spoon too. It's so pretty and sparkly :-)

Hey Stephanie!
Thanks for visiting my back porch, I really appreciate your sweet comments!
Sorry it's taken me a while to finally get over to your beautiful blog...I had been on a blogging break, but I'm back now.
Your lamp shade and the little birdhouse is so pretty, and so are all of your other pinks! I think it's neat that I have that birdhouse myself. I have often wondered where it originally came from, as I had picked mine up at an antique store/ thrift junk store. I love mine and I'm sure you'll be loving yours too, for many years to come! Happy Pink Saturday!
Big Hugs,
Queenie~
