                                                           ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

While shopping last week, I came across two sweet little vintage lockets that had to come home with me.

The first is a very pretty taupe/cream cameo

I just love how someone pasted their love on the back

The next is a true double locket with a beautiful portrait lady.
Although she is scuffed a bit, I still love her.

Back side of locket

This one appears to have a father and possibly a mother and grandmother inside.

How on earth could anyone part with these sweet family heirlooms?
And how could I NOT bring them back with me
and give them a new loving forever home?!?

I'm linking up with our wonderful hostess Cindy of My Romantic Home for Friday Show and Tell. Please visit her here for a list of all of today's participants!

Big Hugs,

Sister, I think you could do a different vignette every day for a year and not come up with the same photo! Truly and simply lovely.

Hey Stephanie!
Those lockets are beautiful...I love the way you displayed them with the books, doily, and that gorgeous roses vase full of roses!
That's right down my alley! It sure looks like you've given them a great new home :)

Your collection of blue transferware is awesome...my fave of them would be the flow blue! Though they are all so pretty.
Hope you have a weekend of happy treasure hunting...talk to you again soon!
Big hugs,
Queenie

I love things like this, but like you wonder how these treasures leave a family.

Are the roses real? They are gorgeous!

Lucky you! They are fabulous. And obviously who ever owned them originally had boys. Most boys could care less about stuff like that & would get rid of them. I know mine would.
