PINK SATURDAY 9-25-2010

Sharing is normally a GOOD thing, but NOT when it is GERMS!!

While spending an extended period of time with my daughter and grandchildren, her youngest became ill and being the loving Mimi that I am, I wanted to take care of him for Bree, since she is expecting another sweet little bundle in November. Well, we got in lots of sweet cuddle time, a few battles over taking meds, and one gigantic sneeze right in my mouth as I was bathing him!!

I took his nasty lil bug and ran a fever of 103! Deliriousness is to blame for some of the following fuzzy pics snapped around our kitchen.....thankfully, I'm now feeling some better after being on my 3rd day of antibiotics. Only 7 more days to go....And now if I can just SLEEP.......

Hope you enjoy my pinks, and I'll try to visit back when I'm feeling a bit better.

My dear friend, Sweet Sissie of Sissie's Shabby Cottage gave me the idea to embellish
several of my pink enamel pieces with decals.

My vintage cheese keeper ~ the roses make me swoon.

My pink tape measure

I won a giveaway a while back from my dear friend and PRH sister Ele of A Bit of Heaven and she also included this pretty fridge magnet.

She is an incredibly talented artist and creates beautiful items, so please check out her shop and her blog, too ~ both are always full of yummy eye candy!  You will be so glad you did!

Ele makes the prettiest decorative journals

Sophisticated black damask design, black roses and just the right amount of bling!

Love the mini journal! Perfect size to slip into my purse.

Ele also makes the prettiest tags!

Omg you poor thing. The high fever really can knock you out! I get sick from my grandkids all the time. I no longer share my drinks with them. :) Being diabetic I get everything! I can't believe you had the strength to do a Pink Saturday post. I love all your cute pink kitchen stuff. Hope you feel better real soon. Get some rest.

Hugs,
Denise

Aw so sorry to hear that nasty bug is jumping from one to another. We've got the same thing going on in our family. I've been free and clear (so far).

What a fun place to cook and bake - love that cheese plate!

Wow, I sympathise: right in the mouth - eurgh!!! No wonder you are on antibiotics. My theory is that young people have more energetic germs... Thank goodness you are finally on the mend.

Love your pretty pinks - especially the colanders. So hard to find one with a bit of character! I managed to find a very similar one which is a very 50s pale mint green (no pink, unfortunately) which brightens the kitchen no end. I hang it on the wall by the mugs.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi Stephanie,
Oh I am so sorry to hear you have been sick. You poor dear. I know how bad you must have been feeling with a fever of 103.
So glad you are doing somewhat better. How is K doing now? Hope better too.

I love your pink post and all the pretty kitchen treasures. Great idea to embellish with decals. So french style for sure. Love your pink with a touch of black.

Ele's journal is wonderful. In fact, I have one similar with a little different black fabric. I purchased mine from her shop a while ago. I love it and I know you do as well. Congrats on your win!

Looking forward to your email. Thanks for visiting tonight. We must be up late at the same time. I am off to dreamland now. Mondays are super busy around here, so I better get some sleep.
Hope you continue to feel better.
Love you my friend,
Celestina Marie

Oh, I'm sorry you're not feeling well, Stephanie. I have a very low immune system myself and I pick up everything so I try to keep my distance from even my little grandsons when they're sick. Not always easy to do however.
Your pinks are incredible and congratulations on winning the giveaway! Love the pink kitchen stuff; especially the colanders! Thank you for stopping by, dear lady, even though you weren't up to par! Hope your week will be lovely.

Blessings,
Sandi

Stephanie, I hope you are feeling better. If you read my blog post, my address is there, but if not I will post it here. Love all your pink things and would love to do my kitchen in pink and white, but it just got burned by a fire, so not sure what is going to happen. I don't need this right now with the bronchitis. Hi Steph thank you for your sweet comments.I cheat on the yoyo's, there's a new item out there called a yoyo maker, they come in about six sizes. They are great and make up so much faster than the old way.
You can find them in a quilt shop or I'm sure on ebay.
Love ya, Shirl
