More Beautiful Bridal Accessories

Today's Weddings are all about Accessories!

My daughter's bouquet
Pink and Cream Spray Roses with Pearl Studded Stephanotis

My dear friend Monica of The White Bench was recently featured.....yes FEATURED in
not one, but TWO magazines!!

Monica's silk memory bridal bouquet was recently featured in
SOMERSET LIFE!

Read more about it here and here

Monica says, "I envisioned the bride walking along the aisle wearing a meaningful bouquet made with her mother's wedding dress or veil turned into beautiful rosettes, adorned with brooches or earrings previously enjoyed by her grandmother, beads or pearls from vintage necklaces that hold a special memory... "an unusual way to tell a family tale".

She was also featured in the Winter Issue of ALTERED COUTURE
and she has graciously allowed me to use her beautiful pictures here
for all of you to see!

I found a few other "takes" on the not-so-traditional bridal bouquet.....
All made with vintage/newer rhinestone jewelry

Swarovski Pearls and crystals bridal necklace

Beautiful Hair Brooch with Feathers

PINK SATURDAY 3-06-2010

Can you tell I'm sooo ready for Spring?!?

All the pics I snapped today for PINK SATURDAY have flowers in them!

An antique mahogany wood framed mirror surrounded by pink roses that
I have for sale here on eBay
A dried PINK floral arrangement that my daughter gave me
~ notice the sweet little cherub that she added ~
The precious little girl in the oval frame is my sweet Mother
A sweet pink baby bootie planter next to one of my favorite ceramic pink roses
This is another little baby bootie planter that I recently purchased at an estate sale.
No, it isn't pink, but Celeste's beautiful handpainted roses behind it are!

And lastly, a pretty little Pink Spring floral arrangement that I purchased at Michael's.
I'm sooo ready for Spring.....I said that already, didn't I?
Please visit our lovely PINK SATURDAY Hostess Beverly of How Sweet the Sound. She has a list of all this week's participants. You would be surprised at all the terrific PINKNESS in Blogland!

PINK SATURDAY 11/28/09

So many of you enjoy seeing the antique mirrors I post each Saturday, so today I'm sharing another, this one with scallop bevels and the rarer diamond point bevels that really add sparkle! Enjoy my pretty pink roses reflecting in the mirror.

In honor of our precious daughter's birthday on the 26th, I'm posting this picture of a pair of her baby shoes with tiny pink roses on them! Happy Birthday, Bree!

My sweet mother-in-law cross-stitched this beautiful sampler a few years ago and hubby and I were the grateful recepients of it.

I've been busy making more of my felt ornies that I sell here at Angelic Accents A La Carte, in Pinks of course!!

Recently I found this lovely vintage graphic in a box of 1940's ornies that I purchased. I love it's worn look and the beautiful pinkish edges on it and the pretty script! Must have been very special to someone to save for all those years!
Please feel free to use this image if you would like!

Please join our lovely hostess, Beverly of How Sweet the Sound to visit an incredible group of gals who all love the color pink! You won't be disappointed!!

The Powder Room

The Powder Room

Thought I would share a few pictures of our powder room with you.

The handsome man in the gold oval frame is my paternal grandfather. Who says it is inappropriate to put family pics in the loo?

I have a small collection of beaded purses, not nearly as many as my dear friend Lorena!

I purchased these little button-top baby shoes at an antiques shop in Salado many years ago. The decopauged print was a garage sale find.

My maternal grandmother crocheted the doily & tabletopper that I draped across the towel bar. The heart holds an instant ancestor & a vintage Gibson Girl post card.

My sweet friend Celeste painted the precious little angel tealite holder.

One of my all-time favorite finds, a handpainted plate with a Victorian couple on it.

More angels ~ the oval angel soap is a gift from my sweet friend, Vickie.

My daughter gifted me with the sweet little shelf & teddy bear. I added a tattered heart.

A special tea cup print & Victorian boot print.

An angel crafted by my sister-in-law from a lacy Battenburg napkin.

Click to read the sentiments.

A cross-stitched guest towel on a lacy doily.

A bunny at the base of the sink.

Hugs,
