Pink Saturday 1-14-2012

Just playing around with the settings on my camera today..........Must have been a bad girl 'cause SANTA didn't bring me a new camera, so I'll just have to keep making do with what I have......

I love cherubs and I love pink sparkles, so this is one of my fav subjects to photograph!

SILVER SUNDAY 1/31/10

It is once again time for another sparkling SILVER SUNDAY with our sweet hostess Beth of Gypsy Fish Journal. Please be sure to stop by her blog here to say hello and see what pretty silvers she and all the other party participants are sharing today after you view my pieces.

I posted this closeup picture of my three little salt spoons just for Ceekay of Thinkin' of Home. Ceekay, have you ever seen such an adorable CHERUB salt spoon? Just perfect for me! She has lots of very pretty ones here, too!

Some of my favorite pieces of silver all grouped together

Silver candlesticks that I picked up at an estate sale.
Spoonful of Sugar Felt Birdies on Silver Spoon by my sweet friend Laurie of Charming Designs.

The silver service coffee set and tray was originally my mother-in-law's.

Silver Service Tea Set
I adore the squatty teapot and the pretty handled tray on this one!

Miniature Silver Service Set

Silver Candlesticks on a beautiful diamond beveled edge antique mirror
with sweet pink cherub compote on my dining room table

One of my all time favorite antique frameless mirrors
reflecting one of my vintage pin money purses and a silver mint julep cup.

My favorite silver water pitcher
The roses on the base make my heart skip a beat!

My mirrored top silverplated cake pedestal

Faux cake was designed by my talented daughter.

Silverplated Hurricane Globe base that I bought at an estate sale for $3.00!

** I sealed the base with a light coat of Deft Clear GLOSS spray paint after polishing it ~ Lots of you had asked what sealer I use ~ Use Deft and you will NEVER have to polish again. Just be aware that this is only for pieces that you do not intend to eat or drink from! **

I fill the globe with vintage ornaments whenever I find some that tickle my fancy!

Isn't this a fun Sunday event?!?! I have really enjoyed getting to know so many new friends that share my love of silver. Now I'm off to visit.....

Hugs,
Stephanie
