A Super MY MEMORIES Review and GIVEAWAY!

I'm known as the crazy picture taker in my family. I always ALWAYS insist on taking pictures. I LOVE saving pictures and looking back on fond memories. I was telling Mother a few weeks ago that I'm worried about what will happen to all our photographs someday. I mean, I know that my daughter and granddaughter (and hopefully the grandsons when they get older) will want our family photographs, but in this new era of technology I fear they may be lost at some point. I used to run up to WalGreens or CVS and get my film developed and then ran home and diligently placed my photos in a simple yet boring album. No time for anything fancy, you know? But as of the last few years, even though I'm taking more pics, I'm just filing them away on my 'puter and even I can barely ever find them again!

Enter MY MEMORIES ~ this amazing company contacted me and wanted to send me their digital scrapbooking software to use and review.  It just seemed like destiny to me, so I quickly accepted the offer to try their products.

My Memories is a great company that offers digital scrapbook software for scrapbook layouts, photo books, invitations, videos, greeting cards, calendars, gifts, and much more!

I found their programs VERY easy to download and start using. Trust me, I'm NO computer guru, so everything, EVERYTHING has to be EASY for me! The software includes multiple different background papers, textured papers, embellishments, special fonts and word art, shapes, and imprints.

I was making adorable pages like these below very quickly.

and this for my upcoming WEDDING BLOG PARTY on June 8th

I even made a layout and printed the following card and framed it for my sweet mother for Mother's Day!

When I get a bit more time, I'm also going to learn how to add videos and music to my albums. I'm having so much fun with this!

And here is the great news......MY MEMORIES was kind enough to offer me a 2nd MY MEMORIES SUITE scrapbooking software program (a $39.97 value) to give to one of my lucky followers here!! And here are the rules to enter for a chance to win:

for Pink Saturday

I'm also sharing vintage/retro wedding gown photos.....

Styles of the 1950's - early 1970's

Birdcage Veil with Rhinestones

Vintage Crocheted Gloves

Grace Kelly weds Prince Rainier of Monoco, 1956

The taffeta and Val lace confection was a wedding gift from MGM Studios, designed by Helen Rose. Imagine this: 25 yards of silk taffeta, 100 yards of silk net, and vintage Belgian rose point lace. Her headpiece was classic : a bandeau cap covered in tiny seed pearls under an intricate lace mantilla.

Many similarities of Princess Grace's gown to that of
Catherine Middleton, bride of Prince William, 2011

A-Line/Princess Strapless Tea-length organza wedding dress (BST0033)
Retails @ $119.98

Vintage Style White Sleeveless Satin Organza Wedding Dress
Retails @ $105.98

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy weds Sen. John F. Kennedy, 1953

Gown designed by Ann Lowe, a very talented African-American dressmaker.  There were 50 yards of silk taffeta, with a very full circular skirt tucked and pleated (Lowe's specialty). On Jackie's head was her grandmother's rose point lace veil hanging from a circular lace cap festooned with orange blossoms. She pulled her look together with short, white kid gloves.

1950's Tea Length Gown

Justin Alexander, Style 8465
Retails @ $1,000.00

House of Dior Wedding Dress @ 1964

@ 1950's Classic Designer Tea Length Gown

Typical 1960's mod wedding attire
All about the mini skirts, pantyhose, buckled shoes, flower power

My Annual WEDDING BLOG PARTY is coming!!

~ Click HERE to join the party already in progress ~

If you have been following my blog for any time, you probably already know that I collect wedding memorabilia. Since June is the month many brides walk down the aisle, I felt it would be an appropriate time for me to hostess our annual blog party about weddings!

I'm hoping you will join me on Friday, June 10th with a special post of your choosing. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. Anything bridal and romantic goes.......your own personal pictures, stories, collections, something you google, whatever. Gowns from the sublime to the "what were they thinking" category, florals, receptions, wedding jewelry, wedding destinations, customs and legends, funny anecdotes, great wedding movies and music....you get the idea.

How about an "If I were to get married all over again, here's what I'd do......".

I'm giving you 3+ weeks to think and plan (try using blogger's pre-scheduler ~ it is great), a nifty little sidebar button to help spread the word (that I will NOT tell you how long it took me to make), and I'm also going to have another little GIVEAWAY, too. I think those are the main ingredients but if you think of anything else that I should add, just let me know!

Here is the sidebar button ~ Just right click and "Save As" to your computer, then add as a gadget on your sidebar with the following link back to me :
http://angelicaccents.blogspot.com

I'll be getting MY special post ready, and will put up a link the night before the party so that you can all join in with me. As a special little incentive to help spread the word, I'll throw your name into my bridal basket for the surprise giveaway if you add the above button to your blog with a link back to me, http://angelicaccents.blogspot.com , either on your sidebar or as a special blog post!! Additional entries can be earned by being/becoming a follower. And another entry if you link up and party with us! How's that for bribery?!?!

Click HERE to visit last year's party and giveaway if you need further inspiration.
Email me with any questions or suggestions.....

Big Hugs,
Stephanie
