HALLOWEEN 2008 SWAP ~ Pt. 1

HALLOWEEN 2008 SWAP ~ Pt. 1

My dear friend Amy of Four Sisters in a Cottage thought it would be fun to hostess her first ever swap with a Halloween theme, so Halloween 2008 Swap was born! Amy was such a wonderful hostess & paired me up with the sweetest young blogger Lindsey of Two Crazy Crafters, so named for she & her mother, Twyla.

Lindsey was so fun to shop & craft for ~ she enjoys vintage Halloween items just as I do! Below are the items I sent to her.

My first ever banner to make ~ of course I had to add some sparkly sequins & beads......just so she would know it was from ME!! BLING BLING!

A creepy laboratory beaker with skull candy for her sweet tooth!

Every ghoul, I mean girl, needs party plates & napkins for impromptu gatherings.

An appliqued Jack O' Lantern towel

I made her a pumpkin gift box with some of my favorite vintage Halloween postcard images.

Inside was a glittery sugared pumpkin.

I had fun cross-stitching a Trick or Treat Halloween Ghost/Bear for her!

I also cross-stitched a small Halloween Spider Treat Bag & stuffed it with candy.

Last year a sweet blogger Beth of Gathering Dust sent me a starter kit for making tags. She is a great tag maker, really a crafter extraordinaire of ALL things ~ she gave me the supplies & most importantly the courage to make my very first tag!

Notice the little frightened girl & boy on the back of my tag? Well, it is one of my favorite Halloween graphics & it just so happened that Lindsey gave me this EXACT same design on an adorable wooden hang tag!! Do great minds think alike or what?!!?

I had a blast participating in this blogging swap & now I won't be afraid to do it again! Lindsey, hope you enjoy all your treats & that you will think of me each year you display them!!

To see all of the great items I received from Lindsey, please see the post below!

Hugs,
