PINK SATURDAY 10/11/08

PINK SATURDAY 10/11/08
Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is always our wonderful hostess for PINK SATURDAYS, so after you read my post, please hop over to hers here to see all the other PINK participants today!

Last week I had fun shopping on FRIDAY FLEA MARKET & FIRST FRIDAY & visited many sellers. One seller, my sweet friend & PRH sister Karen of SecondHand-Rose had a couple of items I just couldn't resist.

This adorable pink & blue & white baby bassinet planter

And this precious little pink purse bank in the middle of the next picture....

DH has a pretty 1940's era PINK Art Deco light ceiling fixture that I had him hang in our hallway. It is very old & extra special to us, as it came from his grandparent's home in Fort Worth.

Believe it or not, as much as I love PINKNESS, when DH came in the door with this pink & black cowhide, I told him it just couldn't stay. We sold it, but not before I snapped a quick picture! Gosh, you should have seen the cute cow this came from!!!!

Lastly, I wanted to share some of my favorite pink dishes with you. I'm not sure of the pattern name but they are very old & such a soft pale pink, very yummy!

Please don't forget to visit all the other pinkness today!!

Happy PINK SATURDAY Hugs,

Stephanie,
What beautiful pinks you have. I love that light fixture. Now I would have had a hard time parting with the cow hide, I probably would have made a pillow or hung it in my closet. How fun! Happy Pink Saturday! Hugs, Bobbi Jo-AZ

What a great collection of unusual items. I love the little kewpie doll planter, and the purse bank is clever - like a pun in china!

Then there's the cowhide, and I had to laugh, imagining a punk-rocker lady cow! D'you suppose she wears spiked anklets, too?

Have a great pink Saturday.
