PINK SATURDAY 1/10/09

PINK SATURDAY 1/10/09

Hi friends! It is time for another PINK Saturday post!! Our sweet hostess for this ever-growing event is Beverly of How Sweet the Sound, so please visit her blog here to see all of this week's participants. You will be amazed at all the pretty pinkness out there!!

I found this beautiful PINK pinwheel quilt (is that the correct pattern name?) in an old magazine & scanned a picture for you to see. I'd love to have one like this, wouldn't you?!?
I received a very special birthday gift from my sweet & talented friend, Katie of Rose Breeze Boutique that I just have to share with you on this PINK Saturday.....an adorable faux slice of cake with her lush tea roses (they REALLY are little tea bags fashioned as ROSES!)!!

Her attention to detail & the creation of these little boxes are just incredible.

You can actually remove the little tea roses that decorate the top of the cake slice & steep them in your favorite cup of hot water for a delicious cup of tea, regular or decaf!! And she also included some extra little decorative tea roses to replace those, so I'll always have a wonderful keepsake faux cake slice!!

Katie's pics are much prettier than mine ~ I was so excited that I was shaking as I opened my surprise!! Hard to take good pics when you are shaking & jumping up & down all at the same time.....so here are some of her great pics of these adorable faux cake slices....run to her site here if you need an extra special & very affordable & unique Valentine's Day or birthday gift or wedding table favors.......

Sweet "textured" cake.....pretty sheer organza ribbon....

PINK satin ribbon roses......sigh......

My dear friend Lori of Pink Faded Roses has this adorable little PINK Snowlady (below) on her sidebar & graciously allowed me to use her, too! Isn't she just perfect for PINK SATURDAY?!?!

Well, this little PINK lady has a BIG SECRET to tell you......

Lori is in a very special contest hosted by Sondra at http://www.themanyshadesofpink.blogspot.com/

Lori is vying for the coveted crown of "Queen of PINK", & if ever a gal deserved this title, I believe that Lori deserves it!!!! Polling closes Jan. 23rd, so run over to Sondra's site (and it is a great new blog with lots of FUN contests coming up!) & check out all the pictures, make your own decision & then VOTE!

I'll be casting my vote for my favorite ~ OBSESSED PINKIE ~ LORI !!!!
Big PINK Saturday Hugs,
