PINK SATURDAY 11/21/09

Sharing another favorite antique mirror of mine . . .  this time a scallop beveled arch top one!
Getting ready to decorate for the holidays with a few of my pinks, I decided that the dust HAD to GO on my pink and clear crystal diamond paperweights, and snapped a picture of them on the kitchen counter as I was drying them.

Below, I'm giving you a sneak peek at one of my newest "old" treasures ~ found this wonderful old 6 pane window at one of my favorite little shops downtown, and it was already such a yummy shade of chippy pink paint that I decided it needed to come home with me. I have holiday decorating plans for it to be a lovely backdrop soon!!

I 'm already gussying up lots of my apothecary jars with pink feathers, vintage ornaments, and a few newer handpainted roses ornies!

Some newer silver and hot pink mirrored ornies are going on my new pink tinsel tree that daughter gifted me with last year on my birthday! People always think that it's a bummer to have a bday so close to Christmas (the 15th), but I have always looked at it as an excuse to get more Christmas-themed goodies!!

Sweet Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is our lovely hostess for PINK SATURDAY each week so please stop by her blog and say hi and visit all the other pink participants, too!!

` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `
Today is a special day as it is my precious Daddy's birthday. We lost him 2 1/2 yrs. ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. I'm at my new little grandson's tonight babysitting him and regretting the fact that Daddy will never get to know him in this life. He would so enjoy playing with his great-grandson! Love you Daddy, now and forever!

PINK SATURDAY Hugs,

Hello, my friend,
I never tire of seeing your beautiful mirrors! Your home is looking very festive for Christmas! That pink window was a wonderful find. It will be perfect as a backdrop. I understand you missing your dad. Both of my parents are in heaven, but I so wish they could have known my grandchildren. How they would have loved them! I hope you and your family have a big and fun-filled Texas Thanksgiving. Many blessings to you! Vicki

Hi Stephanie...
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie. I cannot wait to see what in the world you are going to do with that pain window. OMG I so love it. It is absolutely beautiful. The pink is just the right shade. So perfect. I love the apothecary jars on the mantel. They are just devine.

The mirrored balls in the bowl are so pretty. I wanted to add pink to my living room, but could not find enough of any one type to do anything with. I have decided to go with browns, coppers and golds. They will be really pretty when I get finished. I have a dream.

Your birthday is on the 15th. One grand daughter was born Dec. 21st and the other was born Dec. 25th. They keep us hopping in our house.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. I so love to come and visit here. I always feel like I am coming home. You make it so welcoming here. Thank you Stephanie. Happy Pink Saturday. Country hugs...Sherry

i HAVE REALLY ENJOYED YOUR BLOG THIS MORNING. I THINK YOUR HOME AND ESPECIALLY YOUR SPIRIT ....BEAUTIFUL. I am praying for everyone who is remembering (like you and I) who lost their sweet dads. Mine, too, was about two and a half years ago! Holidays are so sweet because of the dear memories, but they are also so sad.

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
