SILVER SUNDAY 2-7-2010

Silver Sundays have almost beome as much fun for me as Pink Saturdays!
Just imagine, two days a week to lust over everyone's silverness and pinkness!!

I always enjoy showing our antique silvered mirrors reflecting pinkness, so this kills two birds with one stone!

The above scalloped beveled reverse etched floral mirror features convex flower centers and reflects my silver mint julep cup and crystal angel so sweetly.

This is a uniquely shaped ART DECO mirror with a beautiful ornate top.
I love featuring it with my vintage black vase, vintage flapper girl painted reverse glass picture, and my little black velvet dressform.

Silver and black are just really doing it for me these days!

A sweet friend Rhea of Sweet N Shabby Roses knows how susceptible to bling that I am, so she wrapped a package for me once like this......to tell you the truth, I didn't even care what was INSIDE, I was just so in love with the vintage rhinestone brooch! Now it has a prominent place on my coffee table as a decorative banding around one of my candles.

Found these adorable little silverplated French Chef Piggies Salt and Pepper Shakers at an antique store last summer. The tiny shoe was a gift from my dear mother and is quite old.
I do love silver footed trays....
My talented sister-in-law gifted us with this snowflake candle snuffer for Christmas, even engraving the date on the side.

My friend Vickie of Visuals by Vickie gifted me with this pretty little French inspired bookmark and I added it to a little silver cherub placecard holder that I've had for ages.
Hubby surprised me recently with this GORGEOUS and EXTRA LARGE oval serving tray!
Yep, I think I'll keep him!! :0)

Next a few pictures of some of the silver ANGEL jewelry that I design.....
Autumn's Angel
~ designed with a spoon handle, bow, and Swarovski Crystal face and halo ~

Luggage Tag Angel
~ designed with a filigree bow and wings, luggage tag skirt with roses

Bree's Angel
~ designed with silverplated and goldplated elements, filigree wings, Swarovski crystal face and halo ~

Small Sterling Silver Spoon Angel Pendant

Now you know why my blog is called Angelic Accents. I chose this name many years ago when I first started designing jewelry as much of it has angel themes. Since then I have branched out, but the angels will always be my first love!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today. Please stop by and visit our wonderful hostess Beth of Gypsy Fish Journal to see her Silver Sunday post and the list of all the other participants. I can promise you that you won't be disappointed!! And starting next week this will become a monthly event held the 2nd Sunday of each month!

I'll be there ~ will you?!?!

Hugs,
Stephanie

Oh my goodness those mirrors are spectacular! I just love them. I love the art deco one....which is kinda funny because I don't decorate that style...but it is lovely! Happy SS!

Loved looking @ all your pretty silver things. Especially like the candle snuffer and cherub. I may have that same pc of black amethyst. I've just started collecting it, but it's hard to find. Thought it would be great for my daughter's Oct. birthday.

I finally got the right sized envelope to mail your 'treat' in. The first one I bought was too small. I hope to mail it this week, if we can stop getting 'wintery mixes'. We had 7 inches of snow last week, and the kids only went to school a day & 1/2. We have another one coming Tuesday. Sorry, it's taking me forever, but I'll e-mail you when it's been sent. Have a great weekend!

I am drooling over both of your mirrors. But this is what I have to comment on....your vintage black pieces with the mirror made me think about two tacky brass victorian women wall hangings that I saw today at Goodwill. Something about your post got me thinking, those brass ladies would actually look quite nice painted black for a re-do. Inspiration comes from many places. Thank you.

Wow! What a beautiful round mirror ... I scrolled down and back and just had to stare at it. I love the photo you did with it. Of course, the black and silver is awesome, but that round mirror with glass and pink blew me away. I think Pink Saturday is changing the way I look at Pink? Anyway, thanks for your comment on my blog! Appreciate it a bunch. Now, I'm going to look around your blog a bit more. :) Thanks, Jenn <><

I couldn't take it any more - awesome wonderful mirrors and silver. How do you EVER get all the fingerprints off for a photo shoot? That's amazing in itself! I like the chairs w/the skirting underneath. Neat idea ... so many things were neat! Thanks again! Jenn <><

Lots of lovely silver pieces here. I just adore your angel jewelry, made from spoons no less. They are absolutely gorgeous! I collected angels for some time but have tried to curb that desire as right now I just don't have space for anymore collections. Snowbaby was the name I was looking for when I posted yesterday -- I knew my little guy had a name. Thanks for visiting my corner of the world! Blessings, Tammy

Hello, Texas neighbor, I always love to see your beautiful mirrors and silver!! I do believe your hubby is a keeper after giving you that gorgeous tray! Are you all getting lots of snow? I have heard weather reports that it is snowing quite a bit up north Texas way. We are just having cold, cold rain here in my neck of the woods. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy the upcoming weekend! Sending lots of Valentine love your way! Vicki
