You made my heart race with all of these incredibly romantic wedding gowns. They knew how to do the wedding dress back then for sure. The laces they used are exquisite.

Stephanie,
What a gorgeous post! Proof positive that lily of the valley is the most romantic wedding flower ever, sewn into the trim of that dress. What an amazing bunch of fashions. Thanks for linking it up!

Such gorgeous gowns, Stephanie! Your wedding vignette is also beautiful. Thank you for linking to my Open House party and I'll see you at your wedding party.

I so much enjoyed your post. I haven't seen ditted swiss in years and it looked like one of the gowns had used it. You mentioned handmade bobbin lace. Have you ever seen it made? Some of the historical places in these parts have an older woman who still does the bobbin lace. I am always amazed by it and as a kid when we attended local events and there was a woman making lace I was mesmerized. .and still am. How in the world do they know which way to throw each bobbin? Thanks for the post.
