SILVER SUNDAY 1/24/10

Polished our wedding silverware (Community Silverplate) so that I could join Beth's SILVER SUNDAY party again!

Please hop over to her site Gypsy Fish Journal to see the list of other participants here!

Made this silver teapot lamp with the help of my hubby and my daddy.

It helps add task lighting to an otherwise dark corner of my kitchen.

The trick is to seal the teapot after polishing it and before you add the electrical wiring. That way you never have to worry about polishing it again.

I have several silverplated water pitchers and just love using them around the house.

I always enjoy seeing my silver reflected in some of my antique mirrors.

I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's silver each week. I'll be sharing some more of my silver trays hopefully next Sunday!

Hugs,
Stephanie

TIME for Another PINK SATURDAY!! I Scream for ICE CREAM!!

TIME for Another PINK SATURDAY!!
I Scream for ICE CREAM!!

Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is always our wonderful hostess for PINK SATURDAYS, so after you read my post, please hop over to hers here to see all the other PINK participants today!

I thought I would show you a little bit of pinkness in my kitchen, sprinkled around my antique mirror & my silver teapot lamp that Daddy, hubby & I made. And since fall is just around the corner, I decided it was time to put away some of my favorite fun things.......like my ICE CREAM sign by Kari, Artsy Mama herself!!

And yes, I realize I have my PINK bottle brush Christmas trees in this picture, but they stay out YEAR ROUND. Just call me weird, but they make me happy so out they stay!

Isn't this sign adorable with all the vintage flocked wallpaper, millenary flowers & old ledger sheet & crepe paper?!?! It's gonna hurt to put it away for a while!!

The glass sparkle cone came from Hobby Lobby ~ they are just now putting out some wonderful Christmas decorations, so you might want to take a look.

The little faux ice cream cone cookie was a gift from my friend Catherine at Pink Rose Pastries. Oh, how I wish she hadn't quit making her faux delights! But her new items are absolutely beautiful as always, & she is now entering into a new endeavor so check her out here!

I love my little pink pedestal cake plate. I've placed my favorite pink teacup & saucer & a sweet treat on it just for PINK SATURDAY!

Cookie Jar that my aunt gave me years ago
Mount Rushmore pink demitasse teacup & saucer plus a sweet petite four from my PRH Sister Connie of Living Beautifully.
Now if the weather & winds just won't knock out our power, I'll be visiting all the other PINK participants!! It is always so much fun!
Happy PINK Hugs,
