Polished our wedding silverware (Community Silverplate) so that I could join Beth's SILVER SUNDAY party again!
Please hop over to her site Gypsy Fish Journal to see the list of other participants here!
Made this silver teapot lamp with the help of my hubby and my daddy.
It helps add task lighting to an otherwise dark corner of my kitchen.
The trick is to seal the teapot after polishing it and before you add the electrical wiring. That way you never have to worry about polishing it again.
I have several silverplated water pitchers and just love using them around the house.
I always enjoy seeing my silver reflected in some of my antique mirrors.
I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's silver each week. I'll be sharing some more of my silver trays hopefully next Sunday!
Hugs,
Stephanie

Hello Steph, Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. Love your silver post, that tea pot is darling! Your pink post this week is beautiful. I also love your pink lampshades on a previous PS post. I've never seen large pink shades like that before.

What a beauty of a lamp. I just purchased a tea pot similar to this at Goodwill, I was wondering what you sealed the pot with?? and how cute to turn it into a lamp. I don't know if I can figure that out, but I have a very dark corner in my kitchen too, and just love this idea. I love all your photos, they are just beautiful. Have a wonderful day!
Hello Sweet Stephanie! I love your silver! It is stunning!

I love the silver and pink combo. That lamp is wonderful and those little silver tipped pink bottle brush trees look so pretty the way you have them. This is a beautiful post.
Blessings,

Hi Stephanie! Your silver-items are so lovely (what a great idea to make a teapot-lamp, and your silverware is georgeous!) - and I also saw your inspiring pictures from the P.S.-post from yesterday! This week I was not participating but showing a little bit of our district capital Baden near Vienna. Perhaps you like the old houses there? Hugs, Traude
Beautiful pieces you showed today. I had a friend make a lamp for me out of an old silver coffeepot. Like you said, it's a great little lamp for a dark corner of the kitchen. I love vintage mirrors and yours was beautiful....love the silver pitchers too!

Am I in the will, sugar??? Ooooh, that's right; I'm your sister, not your daughter! LOL

Such a gorgeous post...your vignettes are beautiful. Curious to know what you sealed your teapot with....I use something as well on my silver, but it makes it a bit dull..yours still looks so beautifully shiny.
Happy SS!

I think one of the sweetest ides is to turn old tea pots into lamps...I make them for Christmas gifts...lol, well, other styles too...admittedly I am a lamp fiend.

Hey...you definately need to add to your salt collection, although, they are not so easy to find as years ago!
I looked at your Christmas blog and I laughed....we had the same fake fireplace and I have almost the same bride doll. I actually posted about her last year around Valentine's day. Hmmm, maybe we are distantly related!!
I am so glad you like my blog. It is so much fun for me when people visit....makes all the picture taking worthwhile!!
See you Silver Sunday!!
